Product Shot 1Kona's 2+2 DL 2011 model is a high-end mountain bike and one of the most expensive in the XC Dual Suspension lineup. Its geometry and frame are the same as the 2+2 model, on which this one based. The 2+2 DL, however, features numerous upgraded components and accordingly has a much higher price point.

The suspensions are both upgraded, to Fox Float RP23 rear and Fox FIT front, with a remote. The drivetrain is a Shimano mix, with XT crankarms, bottom bracket, shifters and rear derailleur, and SLX chain, freewheel and front derailleur. The wheelset is Easton's EA90XC, with Maxxis tires. This bike is intended for XC racing that requires a dual suspension, but has more limited travel than the similarly priced Abra Cadabra, intended for rougher terrain but heavier and less efficient.
