Product Shot 1 Kona's 2+2 2011 is a higher-end mountain bike inspired by the other Dual Suspension XC models, and it uses the same frame and basic geometry setup. The main difference is that this model is geared mainly for single-track racing in that it has shorter travel in its suspension and geometry with the capacity to adjust rear travel from 50 - 100mm.

Like the other models it uses the "Magic Link" rear frame suspension, which adapts to trail conditions to increase efficiency while pedalling. It also has a scandium alloy frame to reduce weight and increase strength over aluminum. The rear suspension is a Fox Float RP2 and the front is RockShox' REBA RL with remote, short travel of 100mm. The drivetrain is Shimano SLX save the rear derailleur, which is an upgraded XT Shadow. Another key feature is a full Easton EA70 XC Disc wheelset, with Maxxis tires.
