The Cons:Low light video is completely black and grainy. Still images seem low quality, show grain.

 JVC's Everio GZ-HM650 is a mid-range model in the 2011 Everio lineup, and is the first of three models with upgraded CMOS sensor sizes. 3.32-megapixel, backlit CMOS sensors are in these cameras, and they permit better quality, less noisy low-light recording.

This model plays back video at native 1920 x 1080 resolution, and includes 8GB of on-board flash storage as well as an SD card slot to expand capacity. The step-up models in this mini-series, the HM670 and HM690, include more storage at a higher price. The standard Everio features are included with this model, such as intelligent AUTO mode, face detection, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen. This model's display is also a touch screen, for menu navigation. Another upgrade over the lower models is the inclusion of an LED light. Bundled software allows media browsing on Windows machines.
