JBL On Air Wireless

$349.95 Released April, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Airplay compatible. FM radio tuner. Alarm clock functionality.

The Cons:Overpriced. Gaudy and cheap looking design - covered in glossy black plastic. Dock socket is plain to see - dumb for an Airplay capable device.

The JBL On Air Wireless is an iPod/iPhone dock with built in support for AirPlay. When docked an iPod or iPhone will charge while playing through the speakers, and wireless connections can also be achieved with AirPlay compatible devices for music streaming.

Streaming of media can also be handled through an existing WiFi network. A digital FM radio with RDS is also built in, and using the color LCD screen interface users can set up to 10 station presets. The display also has a clock and allows two separate alarms to be set. Sound output runs through 3 separate JBL transducers set up in a 360 degree HALO design, enabling it to fill the room with sound. An included remote control offers access to most of the commonly used functions, as well as having snooze and alarm stop buttons to allow users to put the unit across the room.
