JBL CS600 Satellite
$300.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Attractive design looks really nice in your livingroom, nice curved lines. Enough power output to fill a smaller room, can get pretty loud. Good value, sound compares well with satellites of twice the price.
The JBL CS600 Satellite consists of two high-performance, tall satellite speakers released as upgrades from the CS400 models. Though also designed to function either by itself or in a multi-channel at-home theater system, the CS600 hosts dual (versus one): 3-1/2” high-power drivers, as well as a single 1”, high-frequency titanium-laminate tweeter.

The power handling remains at 100W, but the frequency is slightly wider at 100Hz-20kHz. Expert reviewers say that the CS600 satellite offers better performance (crisp clear mids and highs, and a noticeable bass) than a typical home-theater-in-a-box satellite. However, the speakers supposedly don’t look good if mounted without their grills.
