When you set the IngenuiTea on top of your cup, the valve is opened and the tea can drain out. So to make a fresh cup of tea, set the IngenuiTea on your kitchen counter (or whereever you make your tea) dump a serving of whatever loose leaf tea you like into the IngenuiTea, add hot water, wait and then set the IngenuiTea on your cup. No-fuss, no-muss and you've got a fresh, piping-hot cup of tea!
And it really is no-muss as valve in the bottom of the IngenuiTea is covered by a fine, mesh-filter which keeps the leaves in the IngenuiTea and out of your cup.
The starter set also includes a small book which very briefly discusses tea's benefits and history. As well as one of 4 different sample packs of tea: black, green, flavored or herbal. The teas in the sampler packs are subject to change, but currently the black sampler pack includes yunnan jig which happens to be my favorite.
