The Cons:Thumb scanner is inconsistent and difficult to get working right. Media buttons aren't always responsive.

The ProBook 4310s is an entry-level business notebook from HP that is meant to be an affordable option for basic professional use.  The laptop has a 13.3" LED-backlit display with the option of either Intel GMA 4500MHD or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics.

  It features up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, an up to 500GB hard drive, and is customizable to include an Intel Celeron or Core 2 Duo processor.  The ProBook 4310s includes a DVD SuperMulti or Blu-Ray ROM drive and has the additional option of a webcam or Bluetooth connectivity.  It also has Expresscard and SD slots as well as HDMI, VGA, and 3 USB ports.  The ProBook 4310s is available in a merlot or glossy noir finish and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
