The Harman/Kardon GLA-55 is a 2.0 speaker set designed strictly for ‘high-end’ users who can afford equipment that looks spectacular. Ultimately, the GLA-55 is a simple dual speaker system that can work with a computer, an iPod, or any audio device with a 3.5mm output.

But what sets it apart is its translucent design and 99% glass composition, which critics say lends the system a fashion-forward element. Included also, however, are a few more pertinent features, such as Atlas Al and CMMD transducers, which testers have reported gives the unit “astonishing bass and clear accurate sound regardless of the direction. Additional features include digital signal processing equalization, touch-sensitive volume controls, and a fully visible audio engine.
