Gears of War 3

Gears of War 3 is an upcoming video game by Epic Games and Microsoft Game Studios. It is a sequel to the 2008 game Gears of War 2, and is exclusive to the Xbox 360 platform. It features a brand-new "Beast Mode", new weapons, and a playable mech suit.

The Beast Mode is a multiplayer mode that allows a player to play as one of the Locusts, fighting COG members. The game also brings in several new weapons to the series, including the Pendulum War Era Lancer (which has a normal bayonet as opposed to a chainsaw bayonet), and the One Shot, a recoilless rifle that can kill any enemy with one shot (as the name implies). At various intervals throughout the game, the player is given control of a mech suit, which uses machine guns and a rocket launcher for weapons. It also has two modes of play. In assault mode, it is controlled as a standard character, while in stationary mode, it can be used as cover for allies. When compared to the previous game in the series, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 has some advantages, including more multiplayer mode options (such as the new Beast Mode).
