Anonymous: #ge_x5 The GE X5 is a fantastic camera if you are using it in manual modes but suffers with its automatic settings.
The issues are more with firmware than hardware however the slow response to shutter trigger indicates compromise with limited OS prosessing ability.
I'm a profesional photographer and do a lot of night work. I love the X5 for its long shutter speed 30 seconds in manual mode.
Having an ISO as low as 80 is fantastic as most DSLR cameras under $3500 do not have an ISO below 100.
I love this camera!
If you are going to buy it you need experience with setting ISO and White Balance manualy or you are going to be dissapointed.
If you have the experience and know what you want to achive without artificial aid you will be very impressed. Jun 24, 11

A. Lo: #ge_x5 The GE X5 is a very capable bridge type camera, that shoots like a larger, full-sized DSLR, at a much more compact, easy to handle and operate package, closer to that of compact zooms, offered at an unbeatable price with great value. Jan 22, 11
