The Cons:Expensive - $200 for the device and a "free" year, tracking costs $50 after that. Using a browser to track requires a proprietary plugin (IE and Firefox only). Relies on proprietary web services - not always up, privacy issues, etc...
The Garmin GTU 10 is a GPS tracking unit that can be used to locate an object or track its movements. The small, lightweight build is also waterproof and can be mounted on anything that needs to be tracked.

The high-sensitivity GPS system enables precise tracking, and comes with a year of standard tracking services that covers the U.S. through a GSM wireless connection. It is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery, and can be located on demand with a computer or mobile device. "Fences" can be set up to trigger a text message or email notification when it is crossed, and notifications can be set for low battery or powered off states. Standard tracking includes up to 10 points of track history, and with Deluxe tracking up to 7 days of history can be viewed.
