Fujitsu LifeBook V1040
$799.00
Released January, 2008
The Pros:Light weight for a 15.6" notebook, 0.4lbs lighter than the comparable Lenovo SL500. Good performance for a budget price, hard to find a notebook with a Core 2 Duo processor and 3GB of ram at that price. Spacious 320GB hard drive that you don't see too often in this price range.
The Cons:Optical drive is difficult to open, ejector button is poorly placed. Annoying ethernet port placement, difficult to remove/insert. Poor battery life considering its specification, only 100 minutes.
The Fujitsu LifeBook V1040 is a moderately priced member of the LifeBook line. The 15.6" crystal view wide display and spill-resistant keyboard make it extremely similiar to its sister LifeBooks with just the price and its lack of unnecessary features making it stand out.
