Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR / F305EXR
$340.00
Released July, 2010
The Pros:Works well in museum lighting without the use of flash - images are still crisp and clear. Zoom range much wider than average for this size of camera. Automatic exposure mode has been tested as accurate and reliable.
The Cons:Startup time takes up to 4 seconds, so it needs to stay on for candid photos. Built in flash is very weak. Batteries are drained quickly due to necessary use of Image Stabilization.
The Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR / F305EXR is a compact digital camera. It uses a 12 megapixel sensor for large, detailed photos and a 15x optical zoom for long-distance photography, making it one of the more powerful cameras in its class.

Wide-angle photography is also possible with the use of an internal 24mm super-wide angle lens. The LCD monitor is 3.0 inches, and a hybrid auto-focus technology allows quick focusing on a target regardless of contrast. The flash is linked to a sensor allowing it to automatically select the correct settings based on lighting conditions, and low lighting conditions are still possible to work with as the sensitivity of the sensor is rated ISO 12800. An image stabilization system uses a combination of an internal gyroscope with image sampling to create the greatest possible resistance to accidental movement of the camera upon shutter release.
