Dell Studio 14z (2009)

$649.00 Released July, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:No optical media drive - makes it lighter. Light-weight at 4.30 lbs. Highly configurable.

The Cons:Dell laptop build quality leaves a lot to be desired compared to high end system manufacturers such as Lenovo and Apple. No optical media drive - must download software or use a USB DVD drive. Gets hot.

The Dell Studio 14z is a lightweight notebook computer aimed at users on-the-go. This 14 inch (1366 x 768) notebook lacks a DVD optical media drive, as it’s aimed at students and other buyers who are more likely to download software and other content than use a disc-based equivalent.
