The laptop includes four memory DIMM slots, making the laptop scalable up to 16GB because of the Intel Q43 chip that provides the support for the slots. The Dell Precision M6400 has two dedicated hard drive bays which means storage can go up to a full terabyte. Along with the hard drive bays the laptop also has an e-SATA interface that lets the computer connect directly to external SATA hard drives. The laptop comes with top of the line graphics card options, such as the ATI FirePro and the NVIDIA Quadro FX, as well as the best processors on the market at the time.
