Dean Edge 4 Fretless
$379.00
Released January, 2011
The Pros:Plays and feels better than most low-priced basses. Saddle adjustment works well to remove fret-buzz if you ever put them on later. Fretless design allows you to have the strings nice and low without worrying about buzz.
The Cons:Pickups are mid to below average in tone quality. Without frets you really need to know what you're doing to play in tune.
The Dean Edge 4 Fretless is a 4 string, 24 lined fretless bass with a basswood body, bolt-on maple and walnut neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. The 34" scale features Grover tuners, Dean pickups with Active electronics, black hardware, and is strung with Rotosound TruBass nylon strings.

Its asymmetrical 4 bolt pattern allows uninterrupted access to the higher end of the two octave neck, while the fretless fingerboards provides unsegmented tonal slides.
