Cyber Acoustics CA-2988

$25.00 Released November, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Good overall performance for the price point - slim, portable nature is great for travelling and small office configurations. Strong volume handling - output level is loud enough for many group listening environments, and produces little to no distortion at maximum levels. Zippered case is durable and easy to use - promotes safety for travel applications.

The Cons:Driver software is supported by Windows Vista only - severely limits capabilities amongst Mac operating systems. Seemingly oversized considering inner components - added bulk somewhat reduces portability. Bass ports are pointless - may be deceptive to buyers as they are purely for aesthetics.

The Cyber Acoustics CA-2988 is a low-cost laptop speaker system powered by USB. Like the closely related CA-2880 model, Cyber Acoustics promotes these speakers as perfect for the portable lifestyle. Since this speaker is powered by USB, there is no need for external power, cutting back on speaker cable clutter.
