The Chamberlain Whisper Drive (WD822KD) is a standard garage door opener released as a more affordable counterpart to the Premium Whisper Drive Plus. It lacks its counterpart’s Standby Power system, but adds along a Motor Vibration Isolation System (MVIS) that eliminates overhead vibration—making it ideal for users who have rooms above the garage.

Like its counterpart, the WD822KD hosts Protector System safety sensors that automatically reverse the door in case anything or anyone—such as a child—interrupts the beam. Featured also is anti-burglary technology that works alongside the remotes, theft protection technology that ensures the door remains locked when closed, and a manual release in case of a power outage.
