Canon claims the LiDE200 is capable of producing a full letter size color scan in approximately 14 seconds. The LiDE200 includes unique Canon retouching technology which allows the software to automatically enhance scanned pictures with corrections such as dust and scratch removal, fading correction, and grain and back-lighting corrections. The LiDE200 includes and utilizes one USB 2.0 cable which provides both power and data transfer support for the device eliminating the need for an extra power adapter or cable.
The Canon CanoScan LiDE200 includes additional features such as Canon "EZ" button support, LED indirect photo exposure scanning (LiDE), energy star compliance for energy saving options, 48-bit input and output support, PDF (Adobe Reader) format compatibility, and a 1 year limited manufacturer's warranty. The CanoScan LiDE200 also includes a flat silver body finish as opposed to the flat black of Canon's lower end models (LiDE100, LiDE110).
