The Canon CanoScan LiDE 700F is a high definition color scanner that is designed to fit in a variety of spaces. A number of unique features allow the scanner to be worked into tight work spaces, such as drawing power through the USB port so that only one cable is necessary rather than two.

The scanner can also be positioned in upright, portrait or landscape positions. Scanning is done at 9600 x 9600 color resolution, and the 48-bit color depth is capable of representing 281 trillion different colors. Software included with the scanner can further enhance the detail of the scan, interpolating the image to 19,200 x 19,000 resolution. The scanner automatically detects the size of the paper and creates a file of the appropriate size without extra white space around it. Strips of 35mm film can also be scanned at up to 9600 dpi in full color.
