Brink
$55.00
Released May, 2011
The Pros:Good balance. Amazing customization options - completely customizable character aesthetics, weapon loadouts and upgrades. Great class based dynamics - work as a team, or lose.
The Cons:Poor single player experience - very little real story, poor AI, same gameplay and maps. Grenades are useless.

Gamers can choose to play within one of four different character classes, including "The Soldier", "The Medic", "The Engineer" and "The Operative". Each class involves a specific set of duties and functions, and is built around gaining experience points to customize characters and purchase performance-enhancing items. Utilizing the Splash Damage SMART (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) system, players have access to a highly-intuitive gameplay environment that uses predictive locational technology to anticipate and prepare for their future actions. Context-sensitive mission assignments help to ensure that each player is assigned only those missions that he or she is prepared to complete, while Valve's advanced "Anti-Cheat" technology has been implemented to prevent noncontiguous storyline jumping. Brink also features a fully-functional online multiplayer component, enabling up to 16 users to play within a specific map and set of missions at the same time.
