Product Shot 2 Gamers can choose to play within one of four different character classes, including "The Soldier", "The Medic", "The Engineer" and "The Operative". Each class involves a specific set of duties and functions, and is built around gaining experience points to customize characters and purchase performance-enhancing items. Utilizing the Splash Damage SMART (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) system, players have access to a highly-intuitive gameplay environment that uses predictive locational technology to anticipate and prepare for their future actions. Context-sensitive mission assignments help to ensure that each player is assigned only those missions that he or she is prepared to complete, while Valve's advanced "Anti-Cheat" technology has been implemented to prevent noncontiguous storyline jumping. Brink also features a fully-functional online multiplayer component, enabling up to 16 users to play within a specific map and set of missions at the same time.
