It has built-in USB and SD card slots as well as an AUX input on the front panel, allowing direct playback from an MP3 player. The receiver also has an integrated AM/FM tuner with 30 station presets and is an upgrade to the BV8962 since it includes Bluetooth connectivity, allowing the user to make hands-free calls from a Bluetooth-enabled phone. Like the BV8962, the BV8966B is designed with a large 7" touchscreen monitor that is motorized, sliding out of a single DIN mount. The monitor has a resolution of 1440 x 234 pixels and 600 nits brightness and the front panel is fully detachable for security. The receiver also has a rear view camera input and dual RCA outputs for adding an external amplifier.
