Boss BV7940
$250.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Very loud output, makes external amps unnecessary in most cases. DVDs play smoothly, look very crisp and clear. Nice interface, becomes intuitive quickly, good for control while driving.
The Cons:Sound output is muffled, not a clean signal. Display is very plain and unattractive when playing audio tracks. Very plain display - shows only track number (no name, artist etc),.

It also differs with the BV7340 since the front panel has buttons instead of the touch sensitive controls on the BV7340. The receiver offers playback of WMA, MP4, MP3, DVD, SVCD, VCD, CDR, CDRW, and SDVD formats and is also NTSC/PAL compatible. The BV7940 has an integrated AM/FM tuner with 30 station presets and also includes RDS tagging. It has built-in USB and SD card slots as well as an AUX input on the front panel, allowing direct playback from an MP3 player. The receiver provides a total output power of 80 watts through four channels and comes with a wireless remote control.

#boss_bv7940 I've installed this system in my RV coach and not in the cab. How can I bypass the E- brake lockout without running a wire all the way to the dash - thanks for any input
