ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

$499.00 Released January, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Can play most popular games at reasonable detail and resolution settings. Eyefinity support. Noticeable improvements to ATI stream, OpenCL, and DirectCompute 11 based GGPU computing (due to being based on the HD5000 design).

The Cons:Often paired with limiting DDR3 memory - quite a determining factor due to a thin 64bit bus.

The ATI Mobility Radeon HD5470 an entry-level graphics card for laptops. The HD5470 has an integrated DDR3 memory capacity with a PCI Express 2.1 X 16 bus interface. The HD5470 is equipped with 80 stream processors that support DirectX 11 functions in the hardware such as OIT, post-processing, HDR, texture, and compression.

Additional features of the ATI Mobility Radeon HD5470 include a UVD 2 dedicated video playback accelerator and image enhancement technology with up to 12X multi-sample and super-sample anti-aliasing modes and 16X angle independent anisotropic texture filtering. The HD5470 includes 128-bit floating Point HDR rendering along with HDR texture compression for enhanced HDR gaming support. The HD5470 also supports Eyefinity technology, which allows users to connect up to four monitors with a single graphics chip.
