Asus N71Jv

Asus N71Jv is an N Series laptop released as a more affordable counterpart to the N73Jn. It hosts a weaker Intel Core i3 350M (2.26GHz) CPU, a smaller 500GB SATA HDD, and a DVD SuperMulti drive (versus Blu-ray) However, it does inherit Nvidia GeForce graphics with Nvidia Optimus technology, which automatically optimizes graphic settings to conserve battery life.

More importantly, it picks up its predecessor’s SonicMaster sound technology (developed by ASUS’s ‘Golden Ear’ team in conjunction with Bang & Olufsen) with large speaker chambers, more powerful amplifiers, and enhanced software processing. Other specifications remain the same, including a 1600x900 17.3” widescreen display, Gigabit LAN, Draft N wireless, and 4GB of DDR3 RAM.
