The ASRock UCC technology optimizes CPU performance, giving a large boost in speed to any CPU plugged in. The 870 Extreme3 uses ASRock Instant Boot technology allows for a fast boot up time once the PC is built and the operating system installed. It also helps save energy, making the user's PC more "green". The ATI Quad CrossFireX technology allows a user to plug in up to four ATI graphics cards in order to enhance the visual aspects of the motherboard, allowing smooth playback of HD media. When compared to another ASRock motherboard, the 790GX Pro, the 870 Extreme3 has some superior aspects, including Turbo UCC technology, and a Power Phase design for the CPU socket.
