ASRock 770DE3L
$60.00
Released June, 2010
The Pros:Reasonably priced for a CrossFire-capable AM3 board. Solid-state capacitor design is proven to provide longer, more reliable service than budget electrolytic capacitors. SATA connectors are located at the bottom of the board, leaving plenty of room for longer graphics cards.
The Cons:Really hot NorthBridge chip. Power connections are all on the top left corner of the board, requiring cables to have to run right over the CPU. Small passive cooling solution and no fan headers.
The ASRock 770DE3L is a low-end motherboard. It is designed to contain the components for a computer. It features an AM3 socket, support for ATI Quad CrossFireX and CrossFireX, and ASRock Instant Boot technology.

The AM3 socket in the motherboard is compatible with many AMD processors, including the Phenom II, Athlon II, and Sempron line. This gives a user plenty of choice in terms of selection of a CPU. The motherboard also has support for ATI Quad CrossFireX and CrossFireX, allowing a user to plug in up to four ATI graphics cards for superior quality in graphics. It enables higher performance for graphics processing, and allows better compatibility with many current (and future) PC games. The ASRock Instant Boot technology allows a computer to boot an operating system much faster than normal, as well as conserving more power than a normal boot-up. When compared to another motherboard by ASRock, the 770 Extreme3, the 770DE3L falls short in some areas, such as the complete lack of a USB 3.0 port, and less USB 2.0 ports (six versus eleven).
