$1,399.00 Released November, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Nice customization options - quad-core CPUs and multiple ATI GPUs. A very capable gaming laptop with the stock configuration. Great for docking - has HDMI and optical surround output.

The Cons:Can quickly become expensive when adding the better hardware options. Comes preloaded with Windows Vista - not the latest Windows OS. Aging product - has been replaced by a newer, better Alienware M17 model.

The Alienware M17 is a gaming laptop that attempts to deliver a reasonable price and quality gaming hardware in the same package. It comes with some pricier configuration options that make it more of a high end gaming laptop, such as quad-core CPUs and dual ATI GPUs.

The Alienware M17 offers dual 500GB hard drives in RAID 0 or RAID 1 configurations to store and protect files. This means the laptop can hold over 150 games, 250 full-length movies or 250,000 songs. With all this data to protect the Alienware M17 offers free fall sensor technology that senses when the laptop is suffering a fall so it can protect as much as it can.
