The Acer TravelMate Timeline TM8471-6306 is a professional small notebook that comes in a silver black chassis. Like the other notebooks in the TravelMate Timeline line, the TM8471-6306 comes with a underpowered processor, the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 that runs at 1.4GHz.

Though its processor isn't impressive power wise, it is impressive in the fact that it helps the notebook run on minimal power, allowing the battery to last a full 8 hours. The Timeline TM8471-6306 comes with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit installed, but it allows a downgrade to Windows XP Professional so that the consumer can use something more familiar if desired. The notebook weighs 4.37 lbs and comes with a fingerprint reader to increase the internal security of the notebook.
