3M MP180

$399.00 Released October, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Extremely compact and easily portable. Easy to get it focused properly. Wireless connections are solid and with good bandwidth.

The Cons:Needs a very dark room to operate, any ambient lighting makes it hard to see. Using WiFi drains the battery power very quickly. Built-in speakers are tinny at best, very hard to figure out what's being said if a voice is being played.

The 3M MP180 is a mid-cost pico projector. This projector is geared specifically toward business use. The MP180 provides thirty lumens of brightness for two hours of battery life (if you are using SVGA resolution), so that you can share presentations and video on the go.

This projector has external speakers, and so can also provide audio. The audio output allows you to connect the MP180 to headphones or other external speakers. The included tripod makes it so you avoid shaky images in your presentations. This projector is compatible with popular business tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF. Though they have most of the same specs, the lower cost MP160 pico projector lacks the MP180's WiFi, touchscreen, Bluetooth, integrated MP3 player, 4GB of storage, SD slot (for file storage) and USB (for more options projecting on the go). The 3M MP180 comes with the option of a car charger.
